A Photographic Exchange with Manuel Vason

One of our most popular workshops for The Ash Project was with internationally renowned performance photographer Manuel Vason, the workshop was held over two day in the foothills of the Kent Downs near sugar loaf hill in Folkestone. The workshop allowed participants to develop unique intimate and physical relationships with the subject of the ash tree. Working for the first day on developing sensory experiences in a hall and then spending the second day working to create a series of performed actions for the camera. The works below are a documentation of these exercises of connection.
