Tree Planting: Bicknor

Come and help us plant trees to create a new woodland in a landscape in Kent. With trees selected by a local ecologist to protect the biodiversity of this landscape.

We would like your help to plant trees in this this wonderful landscape of the Mid Kent Downs. We have had over 400 trees donated by the Woodland Trust which  will allow us to make sure that the replacement species are suitable and will support the biodiversity of this area.

We are creating a small patch of woodland on a site called Brockley Bank which is on the edge of Gorham and Admiral Wood. The area connects to Placketts Hole which is owned by David and Alison Wainman who have been involved in woodland management in Kent for many years.

A hearty lunch of warm soup, bread and cheese will be provided at Placketts Hole following the tree planting. You will need to bring sensible shoes or boots, gloves (if you have them) and bottled water.
